I saw Dr. Taban at his Beverly Hills office about six weeks ago to get a blepharoplasty because my eyelids have always been very droopy to the point where when I am tired it affects my vision. My cousin had been having a problem with bleph spasm a while back, and after he got his corrective surgery, he told me that it's really important to see an oculoplastic surgeon because they have the best training to fix whatever issue you're having with your eyes.

After doing some internet research and googling different oculoplastic surgeons in the area, I found Dr. Taban. I checked out his website to make sure he was a board certified oculoplastic surgeon and his patient testimonials to make sure they were ok--they were more than good, they were great! I decided to schedule my initial consultation for eyelid surgery to learn more about the procedure and the best chances of fixing my issue. I actually scheduled several consults with a few oculoplastic surgeons in the area to see who I felt the most comfortable with.

I was really impressed by Dr. Taban's before and after pictures as well as the fact that he educates other surgeons. When I met Dr. Taban, he was completely open about the surgery and answered any questions that I had. He could tell I was nervous, but he assured me that it was an easy procedure with very little down time. He explained that a bleph can be done in-office it doesn't require an operating room and surgery center! I was pretty surprised but that made me feel even more comfortable because its not as big of a procedure. He said I'd be feeling fine in just a few days and that healing should be completed in 1-2 months. He was very candid and I felt more comfortable with him because he addressed my concerns rather than dodge them. After speaking with him about eyelid surgery further, I decided that he was the best eyelid surgeon for the job and scheduled my appointment for my bleph.

When I arrived for surgery, I had gotten a little nervous again, but Dr. Taban assured me everything would go smoothly. In just over an hour, I was heading back home to recover, curl up on the couch, and watch a good movie! Dr. Taban was right, my eyelid surgery went great and I didn't have any issues! I'm so happy that I choose Dr. Taban, because he's great!

He even called me later that day to see how I was feeling and make sure everything was ok. I was really impressed by this. He did all of the post op care himself, no assistant or anything and so that made me very comfortable as well. He is so thorough and I have been taken care of very well before and after surgery. The results have been phenomenal and no one can tell I had a bleph! They just comment that I look well rested and fresh! I'm so glad I took the plunge!

If you're looking for the best eyelid surgeon in Beverly Hills, I suggest Dr. Taban. He'll help ease your mind about surgery and any questions that you might have. He's dedicated and professional and actually cares about his patients. He's definitely the best eyelid surgeon in my book!

I went to go see Dr. Taban for a small sty I had in my eye for a while that just wouldn't go away. I went to see other doctors but didn't feel comfortable. I heard about him through a friend of my family. When I went to see him his office was clean and new. His receptionist is very sweet and professional. Dr. Taban was on-time which for me is a miracle for any doctor! 

He explained what he usually does for a sty and he recommended removing it because it was starting to impose on my vision a bit. He removed it right in the office! I barely felt anything and I don't have any scarring which I'm so excited about! 

One thing I really liked about him is that he is very direct and sometimes I feel like doctors don't want to tell you what is REALLY going on... I think Dr. Taban is awesome and I highly recommend him. :)

I went to Dr. Taban to get my lower right eyelid rebuilt following skin cancer surgery several years ago.  Part of my lower lid had gotten stuck to the eyeball.  Dr. Taban released the lid,  rebuilt most of the lower lid,   and cosmetically,  it looks better than it has in several years.  Dr. Taban is very thorough,  careful,  and cares a great deal about his patients.  He is very easy to talk to and I would highly recommend him for any kind of eyelid surgery.  Great job Dr. Taban!

I needed surgery (DCR) as I had tear duct obstructions for both eyes as a result of radioactive iodine treatment for thyroid cancer.  The radiation treatment closed both ducts.  You could imagine how difficult it was to learn that I needed two surgeries after having delt with thyroid cancer. one year earlier.  My only option was surgery - or simply live with tears constantly draining down my cheeks.

I visited 4 doctors in total before selecting Dr. Taban.  The first two doctors, one young out of school and another considerably older, both recommended an external DCR.  However, that would leave scarring.  The third doctor recommended that I see an Opthamologist / Plastic Surgeon to do the DCR to minimize scarring.  The doctor he recommended, however was out of my network.

So, upon cross-referencing Opthamologists/Plastic Surgeons in my network, I found Dr. Taban.  Dr. Taban performs endoscopic DCRs.  I was nervous about this procedure as the other doctors assured me that the endoscopic procedure was most likely not going to work.  I even researched clinical papers online to understand the pros and cons of these two procedures.  The evidence pointed to the fact that the endoscopic procedure can be just as effective - without the scarring.

I am happy to report that after 7 months, the procedure with Dr. Taban is still a success!  My whole "journey" from consultation to follow up was professional.  Dr. Taban answered all of my and my parent's questions, was patient, and professional.  He even called me to see how I was doing, at home, after the surgeries.  I have even great things to say about his staff (both billing and at reception): friendly and professional.

I was diagnosed with Graves' Disease in 2007 and since then, I had bulging eyes which were always burning and tearing. I would wake up each morning miserable and in pain. I had 2 other surgeons prior to meeting Dr. Taban. I had several tests and procedures done, but only lasted for a few months. I was so sick and tired of the pain I had to face each day, not to mention how horrible my eyes looked. 

I've been under Dr. Taban's care since 2009. Dr. Taban did the orbital decompression on both of my eyes in 2010 and my eyelids retraction in 2011. Healing wasn't that bad. Bruising was normal and I was amazed by his work! I am very satisfied with the overall result. He made me look normal again. I receive compliments from family and friends everytime they see a new photo of me. - Only last month, he cauterized my lower tear ducts due to excessive dryness. Since then, my eyes have been fine and don't get irritated like it used to be.

Dr. Taban is very professional. He is kind and honest. He answers all questions and never on a rush. I highly recommend him. His office staff are very friendly and helpful. They respond to requests in a day.

All I can say is, I'm very grateful to Dr. Taban. He brought back my self-confidence.

I had Dr. Taban repair a blocked tear duct (endoscopically).  He did a great job. Minimal bruising and easy recovery. Dr. Taban is very professional, his office staff very courteous, and he doesn't leave you waiting to see him. Very efficient in every way. Highly recommend Dr. Taban, as he is one of the few doctors that performs the surgery endoscopically. Otherwise, you end up with a sutured opening on the side of your nose.  My surgery was 90% effective at reducing excessive tearing in my eye.

I went to see Dr. Taban in April 2012 for a consultation regarding upper and lower blepharoplasty surgery.  Dr. Taban was very punctual, which was a pleasant surprise in itself.  Dr. Taban patiently addressed every question that I had, and his  professionalism made me feel very comfortable and confident.  I had the procedures done in late April.  Dr. Taban called me that evening to make sure that everything was going well.  He was very thorough and caring at every post-op appointment that I had with him.  When I went back for my 6-month post-op appointment, I mentioned to Dr. Taban that I was not 100% happy with the results of my upper blepharoplasty, which was not due to any fault of Dr. Taban but was more a difference in opinion as far as aesthetics.  He then offered to redo the procedure free of charge.  I was very impressed with his generosity.  Now, 4 months after my surgery, I can say that I am very happy with the results of my procedures.  I feel very fortunate to have had a positive experience.  His office staff is also very nice and professional.  I would highly recommend Dr. Taban!
